About Us
MCD Puzzled is the culmination of a rich legacy and a passionate vision for education and cultural preservation. Founded three decades ago by the esteemed Herman Davis, Davis, Seabrooks, and Sledge puzzle company was more than just a business venture—it was a testament to Herman's lifelong dedication to art, education, public service, and activism.
Now, as the torch passes to the next generation, Herman's daughter, Holly, and granddaughter, Mia, are proud to carry forward his legacy under the new banner of MCD Puzzled. Mia, a vibrant seventh-grader with a zest for art, music, and academics, embodies the spirit of innovation and creativity that defines our company's mission. With her diverse talents and boundless curiosity, Mia brings a fresh perspective to the world of puzzles and education.
Holly, armed with a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Media, Art, and Theater, as well as a Master's in social work, brings her own unique blend of expertise and passion to the table. Raised in an environment that celebrated arts and culture, her commitment to empowerment, education, and the preservation of Black history is deeply ingrained. As a proud member of Divine 9, Holly is dedicated to fostering positive change and ensuring that MCD Puzzled serves as a beacon of inclusivity and enlightenment.
Together, Mia and Holly are determined to honor Herman's legacy by crafting puzzles that not only entertain but also enlighten, inspire, and celebrate the vibrant tapestry of African American history, art, and culture. With each puzzle, we strive to spark curiosity, foster understanding, and empower individuals of all ages to embrace the richness of their heritage and the diversity of the world around them.
